Possibly the only thing better on a food scale than a Krispy Kreme donut is a FREE Krispy Kreme donut. Especially one that is covered in chocolate icing, filled with cream and has a Jaffa on top.
So what if I am going to a wedding soon and have to wear a tight dress?
Oh. My. God. So, so good.

What's a jaffa? Just asking, never heard of that word in relation to a pastry.
ReplyDeleteAnd darling, you know that any woman worth her salt can hold her stomach in anytime she needs to...all night long if necessary.
M, a Jaffa is a hard chocolate ball covered in a red candy shell and tastes chocolatey-orange. :) I have no idea what it was doing on a Krispy Kreme as they don't normally go together at all, but I think it was a promotion for Red Nose Day for SIDS. Do you have that over there?
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, I agree... ;)
ReplyDeleteA Jaffa sounds like an M&M candy: chocolate with a candy coating, but ours taste like chocolate only...unless they are peanut, almond, peanut butter, coconut, or krispy flavors. And not to mention the "gourmet" ones like dark chocolate. Yipes.
ReplyDeleteNo, we don't have Red Nose Day. Never heard of it.
Similar to M&M's but bigger and rounder and harder. We have M&M's over here and they are yum! Especially the peanut butter ones! :) I googled and found this to help explain, just because I am a giant nerd. http://poppalina.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/08/jaffas.html
ReplyDeleteWe don't have coconut M&M's over here though...are they any good?
And Red Nose Day is a fundraising day for SIDS research, for which they sell pens, badges, red clown noses, etc, etc, and now apparently Krispy Kremes.
I don't touch the coconut M&Ms, they just don't sound very good. I'm hooked on the almond ones though. Good thing they're harder to find than the other kinds.
