Needless to say, 'twas most awesome! And to celebrate both this and the fact that the plane didn't crash to a fiery death on the trip back home, here is an exceedingly indulgent picspam of said concert! I shrunk the pics so as not to be too annoying to load... :)
I also managed to go see both the Titanic exhibition @ Melbourne Museum, and the Tim Burton exhibition @ ACMI the next day. Unfortunately, both of these had a strict no photos allowed policy, so I wasn't able to show you anything of either. But they were incredible! The Titanic one had a complete recreation of the grand staircase, along with heaps of real artefacts and a massive chunk of iceberg. And the Tim Burton one had a whole bunch of costumes, including Edward Scissorhands and THAT Alice dress, and heaps and heaps of his drawings, writing, creations etc. Perhaps the most interesting thing to see was how his thoughts, characters and random ideas developed and became almost living, breathing entities of their own. Very awesome. I am not sure if they are touring anywhere else, but if you ever get a chance to see either of these exhibitions, I suggest you make desperate grabby hands and go!
But for now, 30 Seconds to Mars PICSPAM!
Shannon says Shhhhhh!
And finally, did I mention they are coming to Soundwave? Because THEY ARE!!!
<3 LETO LOVE <3 sigh, He is so yummy... cannot wait for soundwave 2011 *YAY*.... i want your camera btw.
ReplyDelete<3
You are certainly using that camera to the best of it's ability. :D Cannot wait to see more of these and hear all about the trip! I want details, you hear me! lol
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are GREAT! Wow, amazing. But WTF with Jared's hair? Is he pulling a Sinead O'Connor, fucking with his hair so as to offset his good looks? Because that only partially works. Damn, girl!
ReplyDeleteThey seriously have a piece of the ACTUAL iceberg? Or just a piece they chipped off a more recent one? Haha.
ReplyDeleteJust saw that Jared will be in a new movie coming up, "Mr Nobody." Check on www.imdb.com.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback, guys! I am also very happy with how the pics came out, considering the appalling lighting/distance limitations. But yes, I love my camera and no, you can't have it, Cat! In fact, if it wasn't an inanimate object, I would marry it. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd M, with the hair, I know! Thus, my whole issue with Jared. He just loves to keep pushing me, doesn't he? I didn't know he has that movie coming up, will definitely have to check it out!
K, it wasn't the ACTUAL iceberg! *hehe* Just a piece of one. However, it was a freshwater one, which means the ones around the Titanic would have been even colder! (Being saltwater with a lower freezing point...) But I touched it for a while and it almost gave me frostbite! :)
