This morning I found what appears to be a leak for the My Chem album. After downloading it in excruciating speed (honestly, it felt like realtime), I open it with winzip only to discover that the files are encrypted! fuckshitgoddamnbitchfuckshit. *rememberstobreathe*
Okay, so here is what I know...
The album, if it is indeed real, is called Murderer and has 15 songs on it (all mpeg audio files). Of course, there were no titles on the encrypted files, only numbers, so I can't even tell whether the titles match what we already know. It says that they were last modified on the 14 June, 2010, which is interesting in itself, as the timeframe kind of fits with when they would have been finishing the album BUT! Mr Ray Toro himself tweeted this pic (http://yfrog.com/j63oej) on 10th July, which shows (in my opinion) protools bouncing a final album to disc, so therefore the dates don't match. My brain! So either it's a false alarm? Or Ray was slow posting pics? Or the date has been altered on the files?
Anyway, will keep investigating and will let you know if I discover anything further or unlock the album! But I have to say, awesome cool name! (and not entirely dissimilar from my prediction, SLEEPERRR!) XD
xoxox
And if they're after me... well, then they're after you...
EDIT: Apparently this leak has been around since June? Anyone know anything else about this? Am I just really late to the party on this one? What is going on? Has the world gone CRAZY?

Nope, just you, my dear. Just you...
ReplyDeleteApparently so! Argh! It's seriously starting to do my head in. :( Save me? <3
ReplyDeleteBut I want to know, goddammit! And what if it is?
Murderer? Don't like it. :(
ReplyDeleteLooked around too, and by all accounts it's just a fake download to boost counts for download websites. There's a few of them and they are all encrypted.
Apparently also there was an actual download for Death Before Disco around July, but Warner got ahold of it and shut it down, but I know it did exist.
I think My Chem is the one band I will wait until I have the album in my hands. Have done so with the last two, and don't wanna break tradition. :p
